Free C++ compilers

The following is a list of free C++ compilers and the location where you can download them. We have noted beside each if it is an integrated development environment (IDE) or simply a command-line compiler.

• Bloodshed Dev-C++ (IDE + Mingw compiler)
• Borland Free Command Line Tools (Compiler only)
• Microsoft Visual C++ Toolkit 2003 (Compiler only)
• Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 Express Edition (IDE + Compiler)

The Microsoft C++ compiler is the same compiler which ships with Visual Studio .NET 2003 Professional.
