Advanced copying utilities

For copying large amounts of Windows information we prefer robocopy which can be found in the Windows 2003 Resource Kit. You can also download Robocopy from their website. This version will work on all versions of Windows -- NT, 2000, XP and 2003.

Robocopy offers many advanced features including the ability to copy data without interruption -- whereas Windows Explorer will stop on each error or open file. It also has options for mirroring data sources (/MIR parameter) and NTFS permissions (/SEC parameter) and many others.
