Enable or disable rights for file associationThis settings allows Windows 2000, Windows XP, and Windows 2003 users without Administrator or Power User rights to create their own file associations: - Open regedit.exe (or your preferred registry editor).- To allow file association rights for all users on this system, browse to: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\policies\Explorer or to allow file association rights for only the current user browse to: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies You may have to create the Policies subkey. - If it does not already exist, create a new value "NoFileAssociate" of type DWORD.
