Windows Genuine Validation Incomplete - Error 0x80080299

While attempting to Validate your Genuine copy of Windows as part of a download from Windows Update or Microsoft Update, you may encounter an error stating Validation Incomplete with the error 0x80080299 in the corner.

While the automatic attempt to validate fails, you may still be able to validate your installation manually here. Once the manual validation succeeds, you can return to the Windows Update or Microsoft Update websites and the operation will succeed.
